Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer is also a songwriter. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she produced, directed and starred her own film Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children born to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her birthplace was Birmingham in Alabama, on 8 January 1977. Danielle is her older sister, and is an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Her family was raised going to an Reform community in Alabama.
